Poroshenko says MH17 jetliner shot down from Russia-occupied territory using Russian weapon

Commenting on the results of the investigation into Malaysian Airlines Boeing crash in the east of Ukraine President of Ukraine petro Poroshenko underlined that it has been shot down Russia-occupied territory of Donbas using the Russian weapon.

"The missile was launched from the territory occupied by Russians," the president said during his working trip to Luhansk region on Tuesday.

Besides, the president stressed the jetliner sustained an attack of Russian Buk surface-to-air missile.

Unfortunately, Dutch investigators can't name the perpetrators of the tragedy.

Ukrainian Security Service chief: From 6,000 to 9,000 Russian servicemen present in Ukraine

Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) chief Vasyl Hrytsak has claimed that thousands of Russian military servicemen are currently present both on the Russian-Ukrainian border and in Ukrainian territory.

"From 6,000 to 9,000 Russian army soldiers and officers are permanently present in Ukrainian territory. I stress, on a permanent basis. And about 50,000 more on the border with Ukraine," Hrytsak said at a press conference at an SBU training center in the community of Pyatykhatky outside Kyiv on Saturday.

Poroshenko: Ukraine avoids default, hyperinflation

Ukraine has managed to avoid default and provide conditions for reducing inflation thanks to efforts of the state authorities.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said at the government meeting in Kyiv on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I emphasize once again that statistics of the past two months gives us the reason to hope that inflation is on decrease. The price hikes will stop and there will be no hyperinflation, which we were forecasted," the President stressed.

In the near future, details on the August 31 events outside the Verkhovna Rada will be made public and the information will horrify Ukraine, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said.

"I believe in the near future the details provided by the investigators will be made public and it will be horrific when you [the Ukrainian public] will listen to the plans of terrorists and what they have planned to do," Poroshenko said during an extended sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Poroshenko: Russia's counting on internal destabilization in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said that Russia is counting on Ukraine becoming internal destabilized.

"Now Russia counts on internal destabilization, probably remembering Bible wisdom, that kingdoms separated from within will fall," Poroshenko said during an extended sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"An attempt to shake the political situation in Ukraine is the main threat to economic stabilization, which we achieved at the cost of unbelievable financial challenges and colossal material waste," Poroshenko said.

Sanctions to be upheld if elections in Donbas disrupted - Hollande

French President Francois Hollande warns the leaders of the breakaway formations in Donbas and Russia that the sanctions will be upheld if the local elections in the eastern regions of Ukraine in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation and the constitutional amendments on decentralization are disrupted.

Hollande stated this at the press conference in Paris on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Obama not going to meet with Putin

The White House has not confirmed information about a meeting of Putin and Obama that was announced by Moscow earlier. There are no such plans in the near future, and no preparation for such meeting is conducted.

Twenty overseas trade missions of Ukraine to promote export will be opened by end of 2016.

Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius said this at the Cabinet's meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We set up six trade missions till the end of the year. They begin to work starting from the new year. Another fourteen missions will be opened the next year. By the end of next year, Ukraine will have twenty overseas trade missions of the new format," the Minister said.
