Went to Pyragova last Sunday, a really nice and sunny day in Kyiv. For those expats still not familiar with this attraction, it is the largest outdoor museum in Europe located on 150 hectar of land in Kyiv. It is a relatively short ride depending on your location but 30 min. or so from the center.  You can take a mini bus. They close at 17:00 but when inside you can still stay there after that. The place is perfect for a picknic. It cost only 15 Hryvnia in admittance, and you will see old buildings and windmills from all areas of Ukraine. Many you can walk inside. Also 3 old churches operate in the area. Nothing better than just lay in the long grass with your lady, drinking Obolon Premium and salami while watching the clouds. A perfect day in Kyiv and at a bargain - 15 Hryvnia + the cost of what you bring. If you drive by car, be aware of the 10 Hryvnia all day parking fee. Also be aware of some mosqitos located along the wooded area along the museum fence.  Smiley

I went there by car but could see all the yellow mini buses. Some had number 131 on them. At closing, a lot of buses lined up to take people away. A really nice place to spend a sunny day. I was surprised to see so many young people spending the day there - in a museum I mean. I gather 50% + were young couples.
