A nice park in the outskirts of Kyiv, surrounded by real forrest.
Go to Metrologichna street (trolleybus 11, or marshroutka 496 end station), walk around 500 meters up the Metrologichna, turn left, walk ahead through the forrest, passing a holy spring, and you're there.
While there, visit the monastry and the St. Panteleimon church (women must cover their heads).
All in all, 2-3 hours in nice, fresh air  Smiley

Where is the starting point on vul. Metrologichna? I'd love to get out of the city for a day, the commute is getting to me already!

If you walk up Metrologichna from the busstop (from Zabolotnogo Akademika street), it's the third street to the left (opposite posta), around 500 meters from busstop. You don't have a map of Kyiv  Wink?
(By amusing coincidence, the 'Kyiv Weekly' published an article on Feofania very shortly after my introducing it on this site...)
If what you want is fresh air, it's either this or Pyrogove...
Enjoy your weekend!

Claus, thankyou very much for your help. Actually I didn't read it in time, so after "plan B" (a weekend of soul-destroying apartment hunting) I will be in even more need of some peace and fresh air next Saturday!
