Paul McCartney is furious with McDonald's after the restaurant chain used his photo without consent.


Singer Paul McCartney was livid when he learned that the fast food franchise in Liverpool displayed his photo on the wall.

As a long-time, strict vegetarian and ambassador for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the 66-year-old musician was outraged by the lack of respect.

His spokesperson said that fans of the star know full well that he's a vegetarian and that it was an insult to their intelligence. According to the ex-Beatle, fans ought to boycott the chain.

A rep for McDonald's defended the restaurant, saying the photo was hung to commemorate McCartney and the Beatle's remarkable local and global contribution.
