Hello,

I have recently stumbled across this site by accident, and decided to sign up in the hope of generating some contacts, ideas and opportunities.

For three years from October 2004, I travelled to Ukraine regularly, and often on a monthly basis. In October 2007, having sold my business in England, I moved to Kiev where I have remained since.

Having worked many years without the benefit of holidays or days off, the thought was to enjoy a long break from work, whilst casually looking at future business or employment prospects. As expected, I have now become bored doing nothing, and am looking to get involved with some work or business investment.

The first twenty years of my career was spent in retail, working my way to the position of general store manager with BHS and Marks & Spencer. In 1989 I became self employed within the hospitality trade, building a small chain of twelve Pubs, bars, restaurants, night clubs and a hotel. Having sold the last of these businesses last October, I have not worked since.

I am now looking to get involved in some work, and will consider anything with a decent return, as I am unlikely to be offered a new career at my time of life. I also have a little cash to invest, and emphasize little, as the ex wife managed to get hold of the majority. (Very wry smile)

Obviously I have no interest with any “get rich quick” schemes, and will consider only those with a guaranteed return. If nothing develops here in Ukraine, I shall invest in some Bulgarian property; even during these difficult times, it represents a good return. Having travelled to many Ukraine cities investigating marriage agencies, I have much knowledge of these scams, and therefore have no interest investing in them. Though I believe there is a good market here, should someone do it right, but it appears no one has the patience or honesty.

If there are any interesting ideas or proposals, please get in touch, and I will provide an e mail address and phone number.

Thanks;

I am looking for a good business in Ukraine preferably Dnepropetrovsk. I will establish residence probably next year but want to have a business started beforehand. Have some capital and solid business in USA that I can still operate and maybe integrate with my Ukranian operations. www.interbyte.com
Ideally 2 active partners working together and making $100,000 + a year to start.

Depends on the amount of investment capital you have.  Unfortunately I cannot help you out that way but in Odessa Region, Lviv Region and Kyiv there are several opportunities owned by friends of mine who are looking to off-load as on-going concerns which are profitable.  PM me if these areas would interest you.
