As with all things fiscal and economic - it is a cyclical process. I have no intention of stopping or slowing my business activities down and I cannot believe anyone else will either, big or small enterprise.
By the end of the year, the USD will have recovered and the Euro will have dropped back to a more reasonable rate and in effect, the "status quo" will have returned to the Ukrainian financial market place. That is of course if it actually leaves the market place norm here - at present the dollar is still 5.05 and has not dropped in value whatsoever. It may remain that way, artificually held there by the National Bank of Ukraine which would make all the runs on currency pointless (if wanting do avoid a depreciated dollar) but a short term gain if you bought the Euro some weeks ago in large quantities as it has risen.
I would not be too concerned about the long term fiscal problems here if I was you. It will level out by the end of the year. Your only short term concern is to consider what you are investing in and the best time to do it.
If it is land and new property you are investing in, my advice would be do it sooner rather than later as I anticipate prices rising from 2nd quarter of this year (ie May(ish)) by about 4% by the end of the year. If it is older style porperties (ie. Soviet Apartments) then there will not be a significant rise in value this year and quiet possibly a slight depreciation at the beginning of next. It has nothing to do with the standard of the apartments for sale but down to political will to replace them and mass availability of new build appartments now.
If you are looking at other investments, ie business opportunities, then it very much depends on your chosen enterprise but we seem to have a fair spread of skills, experience and abilities in this forum so undoubtedly someone will be able to give a little advice.
Maybe we should all just become a little Consultancy Company

I would not suggest offering up any business plan in the open forum, (unless you are looking for backers) as your plan may be "genious" and therefore swooped on, but the likes of Matlockk, SB, Ed, Dazure, Admin etc have lived in Russia/Ukraine for years like myself and maybe worth a PM if you need confidential chats

The next major internal change to be felt by this economy by everyone will be VAT when it comes later this year, particularly if it comes as a bigger percent than anticipated.
