A guy I know in Moscow referred a guy here with a Russian name to me. He thought I might work for he guy. Turns out he was born in the Ukraine but has American citizenship and lives in Kiev.

This guy has had some businesses here but they've all failed for one reason or another.

Anyway, the guy called me and we met for coffee. He actually told me he wanted to be the next Eric Aigner and was going to open a chain of restaurants in town.

He sat for 2 hours and told me how great he was, how many people he knew, and all about this new 'venture', but wouldn't tell me what the concept was. He said it was going to be only expat investors because he lost all his other businesses because of local investors.

I thought it was a job interview, until he asked me for $10,000.

We were supposed to meet again, but I told his buddy in Moscow I wasn't too impressed. I guess he told him what I said because I haven't heard from him again.

So, watch it. I'm sure he'll approach a number of you.

LOL - part of the entertainment value you get by being an expat.   Roll Eyes

Probably looking for a few good friends to invest in his Amway group too?  Oh, and he does Mary Kay....and, uh, can get you cut-rate Viagra from his Mexican connection!   Shocked

On that last, be advise, smetana is a lot cheaper, and tastier!
