With the rapid economic growth and internationalization that is already happening in Ukriane, knowign English as a second language is now starting to become a requirement for the better jobs in banks, governmental offices, hotels, restaurants and even stores. It is an investment to make for better paying jobs in Ukraine. I saw the same thing happening in Poland, which I like to compare to Ukraine, only that Poland is 15 years ahead in economic development. Ukraine will catch up fast though based on all the natural resources, agriculture and the metals industries. Visiting Warsaw these days, everyone seems to speak English. Even the cab drivers, and just like in Ukraine they still do have private taxi drivers trying to hazzle you down at the airport
