Just a question. Is it legal here to specify the gender of the person?

Why is "official employment" on the list of what the company offers? Point 8 sounds dodgy, too.

Agree. Looks like the company just wants a Barbie doll to look nice on reception and give fantasies for the managers, which I think is point 8

means it is white salary which enables the employee to get credit whereas black in the past was attractive from a tax point of view but you couldn't prove high enough income for getting credit.

I suspect you're right - and if so the problem won't be finding a candidate but choosing one out of a thousand applicants. Which begs the question - why post the advert here?

dunno how much the job pay, but if you have lived in this part of the world long enough you surely understand they are not going to place an ugly women at the reception. most of these jobs imply the worker to be as hot as hell.

PS. i think all employers should be free to state the gender of the worker required. as far as i know most of EU allows that...whats the big deal?

If the firm I work for is representative of Ukraine, only 33.3% of receptionists are as hot as hell :-)

To my Knowledge in England, it would be Illegal  to state the Required Age, Sex and No Disrespect, but if a 60 Year Old man came for the Interview in a Wheelchair and had the Necessary Qualifications, The works would have to Explain why they chose to employ someone else rather than him.
And Shops and Premises in England have been Forced to Close down if they do Not have Wheelchair Access!!.

I too wonder why post here? Are they willing to hire and expatriate?Huh To me doesn’t make sense, because pretty much any local can do this job. Why specify female vs. male? Why not have a good looking guy on reception for a change? Grin These days both sexes equally in demand... you know.... Grin Or why sexualize everything, why some people think that somehow sex and fantasies and all that is acceptable at work.  Whoever is most qualified should get the job male or female.  8)Anyway, just a case study the biggest number of males in service industry that I have ever seen was in Egypt (for obvious reasons) but the other place was Quebec City and Montreal. All the hotel receptionists, waiters, consultans in stores etc are male (really handsome I must add….oh and they spoke French too :))....I have not found out the reason for that. But anyway I personally liked it whole lot. As long as level of service or quality of work is great why do I care if it was provided my a man or a woman? Cool Cool

No reason not to hire a man for the job and no reason that you cannot require an appropriate presence.  Of course a job ad like this (and the associated employment policies) is illegal in the US and, according to Article 2 of the Labor Code of Ukraine, it is illegal here too, just like age discrimination.

The fact is enforcement is non-existent.
