Can anyone recommend a good accountant in Kyiv who actually understands balance statements and reporting?

I guess you finally desided to give yours the push after we spoke when I was last in Kyiv  Cheesy Roll Eyes

Obviously I don't know one in Kyiv but I know a good one in Odessa if you don't mind doing it all by email and Excel.  She knows some English as her daughter is married to a Canadian and lives in Toronto.  (How good it is I don't know as we always speak in Russian when I see her as I really must improve my Russian).

If all else fails in Kyiv - she is qualified and very good so if you need me to speak to her I will and then PM you her number if she is agreeable.  I am sure though there must be a decent accountant in Kyiv who speaks enough English to meet your needs Ed  Undecided

Yeah - discouraging.  Kind of like that conversation thread with the wife about how much?  Everything is a negotiation and a secret, even from the owners.  I just need someone who can pay taxes, meet payroll, file forms and give me weekly balances and projections.

I knew a guy once with similar problems and he supposedly had a wired deal due to connections with Ukrainian businessmen. There were continual communication issues with regard to expenses, payments, balances and getting them to explain the applicable regulations. The accountants all seem a bit disgruntled that they couldn't get into the KGB or SBU or something.

Well, like I say, if you can't find a good account in the Ukraine capital  Roll Eyes I will speak to the woman I know here who does the father-in-laws accounts for the several shops in the centre he owns.

I have seen her weekly reports hanging on the walls in his office and they look OK to me with regards to clarity, consistency etc. etc. and he always knows down to the last Kopeika how each store is doing and culmulatively too at the end of each week  Shocked
