Starting another thread with the random photos.  Makes it easier on dial-up folks.

This one should be easy...

Just in case you found Matt's offering too simple, here is another challenge. Where in Kyiv?

I did not realize Matt was asking us to guess the object/place in his picture.
Of course it is located on Maidan. As for yours, Carl...let me try and say that it is either the Circus or the Rechnoy Voksal or Central Train station?Huh
Pretty sure all three attempts are a MISS  but, hey, I tried!!! Wink

Well, it's someplace I've never been.  So it is not the Opera House.   Huh

Vera got it with her multiple guesses! Yes, it is the "executive" waiting room in Kyiv main railway station. We've only been there once when our Kyiv flight arrived giving us 4 hours waiting before we could board the Odessa train. I said "executive" and it is to the extent that you have to pay to use it. It is, however, very comfortable and light refreshments and food can be purchased from the bar - you can just see that at the bottom of the picture.

The wall behind the bar has two doors that lead, I believe, to the VIP waiting room (it was still being renovated during our visit.

Nik, we paid UAH 30 for the pair of us and we had 4 cases! My beloved considered sitting in the main waiting room for 4 hours taking a risk. We only knew about the alternative waiting facilities when the porter told us.
