I like music that reminds me of a certain part of my life - so Oasis (school, britpop years), Roots Manuva, Ty, Skitz (college), Kosheen, Nitin Sawhney (university), Yulia Savicheva, Zveri, Zemfira (life in Russia), and now mostly Ukrainian pop...

Nitin Sawhney is a fantastic British-Indian musician and producer - I'll look for some videos on YouTube...

This mentioning of  Nitin Shawney reminded me of my other 3 big favs - Prem Joshua(Beutiful MANGALAM composition), Anushka Shankar (daughter of the great Ravi Shankar in concert for George Harrison) and Tomatito (Little Tomato in Spanish)- probably the best ever flamenco guitarist:

If you get a chance to hear Nitin Sawhney's "Nostalgia", it is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard - for those like me who need calming down after the Kyiv commute or an hour in Sil'po, I recommend it, and all of his albums.
