I can easily imagine Jack the Ripper stalking down the mall, shrouded by fog, except for his trainers of course, which were as black as the macadam of the road on a hot...uh never mind, I will save it for next year!

Johnny's sorrows were deeper than the dirty green Dnieper. With every stat-laden sentence he had come to realise what his once-promising life had come to. He took his last translation with him instead, so that whichever one of this maddening city's unsmiling denizens found his tanned, lifeless body in the humble, leafy courtyard below would fully understand the reason for his pitifully premature end.

Production of toilet paper at the Rubezhansk Paper Factory had increased by 8.9% compared with last year's figures. But the world would never know.
