My American Football / frisbee partners are about to move back to England. I personally can't really run, throw or catch but really enjoy getting outside and trying. Anyone with the same mindset interested in meeting up for a friendly runabout / throwabout one evening?

I wouldn't know how to play American football, but will join in for frisbee!

I think American football is the only sport I haven't yet tried and been bad at - count me in!

The England - South Africa scorecard on Cricinfo makes for interesting reading at the moment....

Hello Ben.

I have a friend who used to play American Football with some friends (nothing too professional), and he's interested. But I think it would better on some weekend, for work-time reasons Smiley

Jonathan, if your connection is fast enough, try the 3D display!! Weird! As for the score, "eggs", "hatched" are two words that come to mind given past performance!

Carlushika, I'll YouTube the highlights tomorrow morning, my connection here isn't too good.

Ben, where to you go for a throw-around?

I'd be keen to join in but don't arrive to Kiev till the end of August..would be interested in having some sort of social drinks in Kiev when I arrive to get to know people...can anyone recommend a local venue where expats hang out?

I'm going back to the UK for a couple of weeks next Wednesday. If there's any interest to get together before then, I would suggest Sunday (late afternoon or early evening) or Monday/Tuesday after work.

It's harder than you might think to find a green space where there isn't a serious danger of running into a tree, so suggestions welcome. I live in Podol where there are some playground-type pitches (hard surfaces) and some patches of grass which will do but aren't ideal. There is a lovely spot I've played in near Arsenalna metro on the way to Lavra; not a huge amount of space and uneven ground, but wonderful views.

Does it have to be close to the center? If not, there are plenty of sport fields around the Obolon-Minska zone. I think it can be better than playing in a hard surface or not even one Smiley About time, I think that Sunday would be better.

I am very happy to get out of the centre, and Obolon is easy enough to get to.

I probably won't be looking at a computer over the weekend, so if we want to meet on Sunday, it would be best to try to sort it out by the end of work today. Anyone interested, post here, and I'll send my phone number so we can be in touch on the weekend. A first suggestion - metro Minska, Sunday, 6pm.

I'm a "maybe" - what games are we thinking of playing? And how are we all going to recognise each other?

I was thinking of frisbee and perhaps having a go at throwing about my mini American football. I can suggest some good games if we want a bit more structure.

Let's do it this way - anyone who might be interested, send me a message with your phone number (I think I already have yours, Jonathan C) and I'll get in touch on Sunday to find out if there's interest and make a plan. Even if it's just 2 or 3 people it should be good.

Some of the sport fields around the Minska station:
