Where to fly in Kyiv?

1) Air balloon

Hot air balloons are pricey but awesome. Flight season lasts from April to November. Usually balloons fly before sunrise or at sunset in summer, any time of the day in autumn. Actual flight takes up an hour, whole procedure with transfer and briefing – 4-5 hours.

Pilot Kyiv aeronautic sports club – from 10,000 UAH / 1 hour flight for 2 people

Spart Aero – from 10,000 UAH / 1 hour flight for 2 people

Na Share – from 10,000 UAH / 1 hour flight for 2 people (over Kyiv) or 4,000 UAH outside of Kyiv.

 

2) Plane

There are a few airfields in Kyiv where you can fly sporting aeroplanes – as a pilot or as a passenger.

Price:

Airclub Chayka: Yak-18T (3-4 persons) – study flight for 100 UAH / 1 minute; Yak-52 (1 person) – fight manoeuvres for 100 UAH / 1 minute

Lopukhy – from 170 UAH / flight for 1 person

Flight agency V Nebo – SkyRanger for 2 persons from 1 100 UAH / 20 min; An-2 for 4 000 UAH / 30 min

Aeroprakt Airfield – 20 UAH / 1 minute for A-22

 

3) Helicopter

Helicopters fly by more strict rules than planes – mostly for weather conditions. That’s why helicopter flies are pricier.

Price:

Flight agency V Nebo – R22 – 1 670 UAH for 20 minutes; MI-8 – 24 000 UAH for 1 hour.

 

4) Paragliding

Paraglider is a lightweight, free-flying glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure. The pilot takes a run and jumps from a cliff, hovering over the earth.

Price:

Kyiv paragliding club Aero – 250 UAH / flight

Flight agency V Nebo – 500 UAH / flight

 

5) Parachute

There are three bases for parachute jumping in Kyiv – Chayka, Progress and Borodyanka. Newcomers jump with round parachute from 800-900 m first or in tandem with instructor from 1500 m. After AFF class you can use sport parachute.

Price:

Chayka – 360 UAH / round, 1 500 UAH / tandem, AFF class and 2 jumps / 3 000 UAH

Borodyanka – 300 UAH / round, 1 500 UAH / tandem, AFF class and 1 jump / 1 500 UAH

Progress Chernigiv – 300 UAH / round, 1 350 UAH / tandem
